Don and Lorraine are currently serving in Japan. Don is involved in Nanao Bible Church where he teaches Bible in English and also has the opportunity to preach in Japanese.
Currently the Nickersons are beginning a new work at the Noto Bible Church holding regular Bible studies with new contacts they have made, literature distribution and are doing renovations to the Church building. On occasion they fill in for both English and Japanese services at the Wajima Bible Church

Laura Bonney

Laura grew up in a Christian home in Southern NB. After graduating from Prairie Bible Inst. and sensing God's call to cross-cultural ministry through friendships with international studen ts at Bible College, Laura served for two and a half years in Micronesia following a 1 year assignment as Christian Education Director in a NB Church.

Ruth Haynes

Ruth was born into the family of a Christian New Hampshire dairy farmer. She trusted Christ as Saviour at an early age. As a pre-teen she sensed God's call on her life to serve Him in missions. After Graduating from Bible School, God led her to serve with CEF in Atlantic Canada until 1982. In 1984 Ruth went with Bible Centered Ministries to the Philippines to teach and train believers in Christian Education. Transferring to SEND International in 1987, Ruth served on church planting teams until 1996.

Currently with the help of SEND International, Ruth along with Laura Bonney began a non-governmental organization called VOICE Philippines (Values Orientation In Classroom Education). This was officially registered with the Philippine government in April 2005. VOICE Philippines partners with local evangelical churches who provide volunteer teachers to teach Bible Values in public schools. VOICE provides these volunteer teachers with some basic training and a Values curriculum that Laura and Ruth are compiling in 12 week modules.

Agus comes from Christian family. Because of his family’s economic condition and his unacceptable bad habits against his parents, he was sent to stay in another place with relatives. This way he could also continue his studies to pursue a good future.

Since childhood he was always asked by his parents to spend time at Sunday school services, but as a teenager he never had the time to attend services anymore. In his adolescence, Agus always did inappropriate deeds that are in contrast to God’s will and never obeyed his parents. At that time a servant of God came and told him about the way of salvation. However, by that time he refused that good news. Seeing all of his deeds, finally he was sent by his parents to Banda Aceh to live with his relatives. After residing in Banda Aceh, he started to attend church services again because of his relatives’ good examples. He started to understand the life of a real Christian.

Why He Chose ETSI
When Agus finally asked his relatives to send him to Teologia Akademi Amal Aceh seminary, he had already come to an understanding that he needed to be intensively trained in Bible teaching so he could faithfully serve God. In fact, being at this seminary brought changes in his spiritual life; he has begun the habit of reading the Bible regularly, is ministering at church, has become a worker for God, developed a love for souls and has a longing to win the Aceh tribe for Christ.
